Terms and Conditions
Making A Purchase:
Using this site could not be easier. Just browse our shop, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. When you have finished browsing, click on "View Cart" to the left of this page followed by "Checkout" on the next. You will then be asked for a few details which we need to be able to complete your order. If you wish you may add your email address to our newsletter/promotional mailings list; this is only used by ourselves for occasional promotional emails and is never passed-on/sold to any third party. You will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from these emails at any time on receipt of each one.
In the interests of security we only accept payment via Stripe our processing gateway or bank transfer. Look for the padlock symbol in the bottom right of your window which shows it is secure. We can also accept payment via direct bank transfer and can accept this in GBP £ only. Payment through any other method is not accepted! In the interests of increasing fraud protection for us and all our customers we only accept credit/debit cards that are registered with either "Verified by Visa" or "Mastercard Secure". Your bank can supply you with details of how to register with this service although in most cases you will be given the opportunity when you make your first or subsequent purchases online (worldwide with any merchant including ourselves). Please note we cannot offer any individual assistance in registering for this service and any questions should be directed to your card provider. However, please be aware that when using our payment system you may experience a blank, white screen whilst transferring from the payment processing page to the 3D Secure site so please be patient during payment to give each site time to load.
We accept all Major Credit & Debit Cards via Stripe
If you are shopping from Europe, USA, or Canada you may select your currency at the top of the page to see prices in Euros, Dollars, Canadian Dollars or Pounds sterling. Please note however that all transactions are ultimately completed in Pounds sterling hence you may be liable to further exchange rate charges by your bank which are beyond our control. We also have no control over import duties and taxes as charged by local customs, these are your responsibility to pay direct to the courier.
Making a contract with us:
When confirmation of your order is received, this indicates that we have also received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, if we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable to you although we will always try to honour any advertised price. If a part is updated but is still suitable for the intended purpose we will substitute the updated part.
Images:
All images on this site are non-contractual. Whilst we do make every effort to show the actual product this is not always possible for every model/product. If you are at all unsure with what you are purchasing please drop us an email and we will do our best to help you prior to your purchase.
Returns/Cancellations (Within the UK)
This policy does not apply to the following goods, which are exempt from the right to cancel (from the time of ordering): many of the non-smart K&N filters that are often made to order in the USA (please ask if you are unsure if the one you are looking at is included in this) Personalised items, special order items including body parts for all models and all parts specific to LHD vehicles, part(s) ordered to your own specific VIN number e.g turbo's & locks/keys, downloaded/emailed items such as stereo codes. NB: Genuine smart products for discontinued models and ALL Brabus products for all models are Special Order only hence returns/cancellations cannot be accepted on any of these products.
Cooling off period: You can cancel your contract at any time up to 14 days after the day of delivery. To do this, please e-mail us or write to us at the contact details below. You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future. If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense, this includes refusal of delivery where the direct cost of returning the item to us will be deducted from your refund. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage.
If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them but we will charge you the direct cost of collection, this also applies to items not collected from collection points. Items should be in a re-sellable condition and unused in their original packaging (as supplied). NB: Parts supplied in sealed packets cannot be accepted for return once opened. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
Where such services as expedited delivery are arranged this forms a separate services contract between us and hence a cooling off period will not apply.
Items returned after 14 days from receipt may be subject to a restocking charge of not less than 25%. This does not affect your statutory rights.
This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights — for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Please address all returns to:

Returns/Cancellations (Outside the UK):
For logistics and cost purposes we cannot accept returns/cancellations from customers outside of the UK.
This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights — for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Faulty goods:
If there is a problem with the goods, please contact us. We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights. Any damages must be reported within 48hrs via email to shop@smart-stuff.co.uk.
Smart Stuff are not responsible for any labour charges incurred during fitment or removal of allegedly faulty (or incorrectly supplied) parts or any other consequential damages/costs. Parts supplied are for UK spec vehicles unless stated otherwise and we can not be held responsible for fitment on other specifications.
Shortages & Damage:
Please advise our Customer Service Department of any problems with shortages or carrier damage within 48hrs of receipt. We regret that beyond this time, due to circumstances beyond our control we may be unable to process your claim.
Shipping And Handling:
All items up to 2kgs are sent via Royal Mail recorded delivery or Airmail Signed-for. Items over 2kgs are sent by courier which are fully tracked. When ordering multiple small weight items do check that buying them individually is not cheaper, this is particularly the case for non-UK customers where the changeover from Royal Mail to courier can inflate postal charges. Insurance cover is automatically included at either Royal Mail or courier standard rates additional coverage for more expensive items is available at checkout. Free Shipping offers usually use the most cost effective method available but this will also be the slowest service. * Note that Free Shipping offers are not available on bulky/oversize items such as panels or wheel & tyres. International shipping is possible for bulky items costs will be confirmed once the parcel is ready to dispatch. Please note for panels wheels etc the shop shipping costs are estimates for non-UK Mainland (International) destinations as the shipping companies calculate these on a volumetric weight.
Delivery Schedule:
Once your order has been processed the majority of items will be dispatched within 1-2 working days with other more limited stock items taking a little longer usually 3-5 working days. Working days being Monday to Friday.
Delivery times vary depending on the method chosen. The courier option is usually the quickest. The UK utilises a 24/48hr service depending on the option chosen, Europe 48hr and the rest of the world varies between 3-5 working days. Whilst they are usually quite reliable there is no guarantee that these times will be honoured by the courier and are out of our control.
